Our Podiatrists
Andrew Gilmour

I am a passionate and experienced Podiatrist, qualified in 2016, with a broad dynamic career that spans across private practice, the NHS, the Ministry of Defence and International healthcare settings. My clinical interests lie in the prevention, diagnosis and management of lower limb conditions, with a particular focus on diabetic foot care, vascular health and musculoskeletal conditions.
Over the years, I have developed a strong foundation in both routine and complex podiatric care, working with diverse patient populations and multidisciplinary teams. My time with the Ministry of Defence provided unique insights into occupational and high performance foot health, while my NHS experience has grounded me in evidence based, patient centred care.
My International experience includes working overseas in diabetes focused health care environments, where I was involved in the management of high risk foot complications and community based initiatives. This global perspective has enriched my approach to care, particularly in culturally diverse and resource limited settings.
In addition to my clinical work, I have contributed to academic development at Queen Margaret University as Lecturer, where I have supported undergraduate teaching, clinical skills development and mentoring of future podiatrists. This role has allowed me to stay at the forefront of emerging research and best practices in podiatric medicine.
I am committed to continuous professional development and strive to integrate the latest research into practice. Whether in the clinic, classroom, or community, my goal is to promote mobility, prevent complications and improve quality of life for every patient I work with.
